Experience college - live on campus during the summer

You'll live in a residence hall, walk the Quad, make great friends and take two college courses at The University of Alabama! And you'll have the same strong support network you experience in your online courses - peer coaches who live in your residence hall, academic advisors, and student-centered instructors. We'll give you plenty of opportunities to learn about college life - like meeting with representatives from student organizations, Student Affairs, fraternities/sororities, University Admissions, and college advisors. And we'll also provide plenty of social opportunities like fun days at the lake, study groups at the library, meals and events with the broader UA Early College family, swimming and climbing the rock wall at the University Recreation Center. You might even meet a former football player!

To participate in Summer On Campus, you need to have completed your junior or senior year of high school by summer. You also need to complete these steps prior to summer:

  • - Apply and be admitted to UA Early College
  • - Complete the Gateway course
  • - Take at least one course through UA Early College, past Gateway
  •         - Or, apply for a one-course waiver

Students who live in the geographic area may attend summer courses on campus without living in a residence hall.

If you have a 27 or higher ACT score, Honors Ready will let you experience the University from the perspective of an Honors College student. In addition to the wonderful benefits of the UA Early College Summer On Campus, you will enroll in select Honors College courses, and you will be invited to participate in special events with Honors College students, faculty and administration throughout your Summer On Campus with Honors Ready.

If you are considering the Honors Ready experience, please submit your ACT score to The University of Alabama! You will need to complete the steps listed above, for Summer On Campus. If you are Honors Ready eligible, you will also be eligible for a waiver of the "one UA Early College course past Gateway" requirement.
