Early College Scholarship
Students who are admitted to Early College with a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher, and who maintain good academic standing, may qualify for a scholarship. The scholarship award applies only to courses offered within the Early College curriculum. To continue receiving the Early College scholarship, a student must maintain good standing both in Early College and at the high school of record. To maintain good academic standing in Early College, students must:
- Be admitted to Early College with a 3.0 or higher high school GPA
- Enroll in and complete Early College academic course requirements within the semester of enrollment, or meet appropriate deadlines for course withdrawal. (Withdrawal from Early College courses result in the forfeiture of the Early College scholarship for that particular term.)
- Maintain active enrollment status both in Early College and in the high school of record
- Maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA in Early College courses
Students dropping below a 2.5 GPA in Early College will have a one-course grace period in which to improve their grades to a 2.5 GPA or above. Students who do not improve their GPA within this grace period will lose the Early College scholarship.
