The University of Alabama and UA Early College recognize the sacrifices made by military service men and women, and by their families. To honor the service these families provide, the dependents of all active duty military members are recognized as “in-state students” regardless of their current location or high school location.
Active Duty Military Dependents Tuition and Scholarship
All UA Early College students pay the University’s Distance Learner tuition rate. The Distance Learning tuition rate for the 2022-2023 academic year is $385 per credit hour. Dependents of active duty military members are eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship, if they meet the 3.0 high school GPA admission requirement. This means that the tuition for these students will be reduced to $192.50 per credit hour.
*Plus, you’ll have access to the full range of UA resources and the Office for Veteran and Military Affairs.
Applicants to UA Early College must meet the minimum admission requirement of a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average since the 9th grade.
